The wrong size will only cause problems, to large of a shoe and it will be hard to walk, to small and your feet will be squished and you will feel uncomfortable. Leave a little of extra space for growing. About a thumb space should be left at the front of the shoe so that there is a little bit of room to grow. Try and avoid buying shoes that do not have round ends. These shoes have a lot less room for toes as they have pointy tips and your toes will get crushed.

If all of these tips are done correctly you should be able to find the right shoe for your child. They may have their own opinion but it is not always the best one. Try to work with them on something that you both agree on. The style does not matter as much as the right size so make sure you keep that a top priority.
